Indication / Use
Primarily indicated for male infertility and other conditions associated with testosterone deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone.
Mechanism of Action
Testoviron Depot delivers testosterone intramuscularly, resulting in sustained circulating testosterone levels comparable to physiological ranges observed in healthy young men (10.4 – 34.6 nmol/L [300 – 1000 ng/dL]).

Side Effects
Endocrine & Urogenital:
Gynecomastia, frequent or prolonged erections, oligospermia (at higher doses).
Skin & Appendages:
Hirsutism, acne, seborrhea, male-pattern baldness.
Fluid & Electrolyte Balance:
Retention of sodium, water, potassium, calcium, and phosphates.
Gastrointestinal:
Nausea, cholestatic jaundice, altered liver function tests, rare hepatocellular neoplasms, peliosis hepatitis.
Hematologic:
Polycythemia, suppression of clotting factors (II, V, VII, X), bleeding risk in patients on anticoagulants.
Nervous System:
Changes in libido, headache, anxiety, depression, paresthesia.
Allergic Reactions:
Skin rashes, hypersensitivity, rare anaphylactoid reactions.
Vascular Disorders:
Risk of venous thromboembolism.
Drug Interactions
Oral anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin)
Oxyphenbutazone
Contraindications
Do not use in:
Patients with hypersensitivity to testosterone or formulation components
Men with known or suspected carcinoma of the prostate or breast
Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant
Patients with severe cardiac, hepatic, or renal disease
Precautions
Monitor patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia for signs of acute urinary obstruction.
Long-term or high-dose use may cause oligospermia.
If priapism or excessive sexual stimulation occurs, discontinue therapy and restart at a lower dose if needed.
Warnings
Hypercalcemia may occur in immobilized patients; discontinue if detected.
Edema (with or without heart failure) may occur, particularly in patients with compromised cardiac, hepatic, or renal function.
Gynecomastia may develop and occasionally persist during treatment.
